Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with SmartPlant 3D.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Experience designing cable tray from concept to completion.
• Experience in grounding systems.
• Experience using NEC.
• Ability to conceptualize in a 3D environment.
• Ability to work in a growing, adaptive, multi-discipline team.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design cable tray, grounding and lighting systems from concept to completion.
• Perform NEC sizing calculations for conduits and cable trays.
• Route cables in 3D to generate a cable schedule.
• Lay out electrical equipment in electrical buildings.
• Develops 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills.
• Check 3D models for interferences and constructability.
• Size pull boxes per NEC requirements.
• Draft intermediate electrical drawings.
• Work with minimal supervision applying standard design methods.
• Set personal objectives aligned with the organization.
• Complete tasks to maximize productivity.
• Adhere to company standards to produce quality deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings as required.
