Kiewit Power Engineering seeks a Senior Lead Electrical Designer to guide EPC project design for power generation. You will manage a design team, interface with disciplines, and drive safe, cost-effective, constructible designs that meet client expectations.

Required are 8+ years in electrical design, leadership experience, and strong 3D capabilities (SmartPlant 3D). The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities across North America.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical design.
• Experience leading electrical design teams.
• Experience managing budget and schedule.
• Power generation experience preferred.
• Experience in SmartPlant 3D.
• Able to conceptualize in a 3D environment.
• Work in a growing multi-discipline team.
• Able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of electrical designers on raceway systems.
• Manage electrical design activities against schedule and budget.
• Track and report progression to project management.
• Prepare monthly quantities, schedule, and forecast reports.
• Interface with construction to ensure safe, constructible design.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, engineers and construction.
• Check deliverables for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Apply applicable national and local codes.
• Use Project Database tools for reviews, holds, ECN and RFIs.
• Mentor design team and support field resolutions as needed.
