Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) seeks an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support its Energy team. The role focuses on Revit production for water/wastewater projects, with collaboration across Beaverton, Portland, Tukwila, and WA offices.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an EIT or the ability to obtain it within six months, with 1–3 years of electrical design experience and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 1-3 years of experience as an electrical designer or equivalent.
• Proficient in Revit Modeling with working knowledge in AutoCAD and Mircostation.
• Strong communication and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design of electrical systems including main service and distribution, standby power, general power, and circuiting etc.
• Design and produce drawings suitable for construction with sufficient detail based on engineer input including verbal and written instructions and drawing upon previous work and a library of electronic and hard-copy reference material.
• Understand and comply with both client-specific and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
• Implement file management procedures to organize and maintain electronic drawing files.
• Communicate effectively with the other drafting and design staff and clients.
