Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support the Energy team in Bellevue and nearby WA locations. This early-career role focuses on Revit production for water/wastewater projects and cross-office coordination.

You will design electrical systems, create construction drawings, and ensure adherence to CAD standards while collaborating with engineers and clients for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrical designer.
• Proficient in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including main service, distribution, standby power, and general power.
• Produce construction drawings with engineer input and reference materials.
• Follow client and DEA CAD standards; maintain file management for electronic drawings.
• Communicate effectively with drafting staff and clients.
• Coordinate across Beaverton, OR team and Portland/Tukwila offices as needed.
