David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support a major water/wastewater project.

The role focuses on Revit production and design for energy infrastructure across Beaverton, OR, with coordination with Portland-area offices as needed. The ideal candidate has an Electrical Engineering degree, an EIT or ability to obtain within six months, and 1–3 years of electrical designer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrical designer or equivalent.
• Proficient in Revit Modeling with working knowledge in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong ethics and commitment to quality within budgets and schedules.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated team player, able to work under time constraints.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task on several design projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including main service and distribution, standby power, general power, and circuiting.
• Produce drawings suitable for construction with detail based on engineer input and reference material.
• Adhere to client and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
• Implement file management procedures to organize electronic drawing files.
• Communicate effectively with drafting staff and clients.
