Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support Beaverton, OR with Revit production for a major water/wastewater project and coordination across Portland area offices.

The role emphasizes electrical design, CAD standards, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary energy team. Eligible candidates have a 1–3 year background in electrical design and EIT or ability to obtain within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrical designer.
• Proficient in Revit with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Demonstrates strong ethics and commitment to quality within budgets and schedules.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated team player, and able to work under time constraints.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task on several design projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including main service and distribution, standby power, general power, and circuiting.
• Produce construction-ready drawings with engineer input and reference material.
• Follow client-specific and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
• Implement file management procedures to organize electronic drawing files.
• Communicate effectively with drafting staff and clients.
