Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks an Electrical Designer in Austin, TX to transform concepts into concrete electrical solutions for diverse projects, with hybrid work and two in-office days per week.

Responsibilities include design of power systems, load calculations, equipment sizing, and coordination with architects and contractors, using REVIT and BIM tools.

Candidates should have 4+ years in MEP design, a B.S. in Engineering, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT, showcasing your mastery of industry-leading design tools.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the Austin, TX office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for projects across commercial, education, government, healthcare, and more.
• Design and specification of power and control systems, layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection.
• Collaborate with architects, outside consultants, and code officials.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Support electrical code research for project-specific issues.
• Assist with construction administration tasks and RFIs.
