Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Austin, TX to support planning, design, and delivery of mechanical building systems. You will develop construction documents in Revit, perform design calculations, and collaborate with engineers and a multidisciplinary team.

This hybrid role requires two in-office days per week. You will gain mentorship from experienced engineers, grow in project leadership, and contribute to projects across commercial, healthcare, and education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of mechanical (HVAC) design experience for commercial/healthcare/education projects.
• EIT designation or active progress toward EIT.
• Proficiency in Revit for construction documents.
• In-office work for training and collaboration.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system designs and construction documents in Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams; participate in coordination meetings.
• Perform mechanical design calculations and respond to design review comments.
• Support site observations and construction administration tasks.
• Take ownership of deliverables and hybrid/in-office learning environment.
