Job summary

Glumac in Austin, TX is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support design and delivery of building systems. You will develop construction documents in Revit, perform calculations, and coordinate with engineers and project teams in a hybrid/in-office setting.

The role offers mentorship, hands-on experience with complex projects, and opportunities for growth toward Engineer of Record or Project Manager roles within a Tetra Tech company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience for building projects.
• EIT or progressing toward EIT
• Proficiency in Revit for construction documents
• In-office training and collaboration eligibility
• Strong work ethic and team orientation
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system designs and construction documents.
• Perform basic design calculations and cost checks.
• Develop in Revit and Bluebeam; coordinate with project teams
• Support design reviews and respond to comments.
• Assist with site observations and construction administration tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and disciplines in a hybrid learning environment
• Contribute to deliverables and daily task ownership
