Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer in the building construction industry.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in REVIT, showcasing your mastery of industry-leading design tools.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of the Austin, TX office.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electrical power systems for all types of projects including commercial, advanced technology, mission critical, education, government, healthcare, science & technology.
• Design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and lighting controls.
• Collaborate with architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Coordinate with internal teams to provide integrated designs across disciplines.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Assist with electrical code research for project-specific issues.
• Support construction administration tasks, including responses to RFIs and equipment submittals.
• Interface with code officials and contractors as needed.
• Work with project teams from concept through construction.
