You will be a key player in our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, responsible for the design and drafting of electrical systems for high performance buildings. Responsibilities

• 1. Designing and drafting electrical systems for industrial and commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and security systems.
• 2. Performing complex electrical calculations such as load balancing, voltage drop, and sub-bank calculations.
• 3. Designing and specifying electrical conduits, wiring, and other components in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• 4. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other project team members to integrate electrical systems into overall building design.
• 5. Reviewing and revising designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• 6. Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure the correct installation and operation of electrical systems.
• 7. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems during construction and post-occupancy phases.
• 8. Continually updating knowledge of new technologies and industry trends to ensure our designs are cutting-edge and sustainable.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and drafting, specifically in the construction industry.
• 2. Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design and drafting.
• 3. In-depth knowledge of NEC Code and other relevant industry standards and regulations.
• 4. Experience with designing electrical systems for high performance buildings.
• 5. Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems, as they relate to electrical design.
• 6. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex electrical calculations.
• 7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• 8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
• 9. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
