Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Drafter to join our growing engineering team. You will create and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, develop equipment layouts, and produce construction documents for large-scale industrial projects.

The role offers exposure to 2D and 3D design technologies, BIM coordination, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines. A strong eye for detail and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; preferred in Electrical Eng Tech or Drafting & Design.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Revit, Navisworks or BIM software experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop electrical layouts, cable tray routing, and conduit drawings.
• Produce one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, lighting plans, and construction documents.
• Assist with 3D modeling and BIM coordination in Revit/Navisworks.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support projects serving industrial manufacturing and process facilities.
• Ensure drawings meet industry standards and project specs.
• Participate in design reviews and implement revisions.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop electrical equipment layouts, cable tray routing, and conduit drawings.
• Produce one-line diagrams, schematics, lighting layouts, and construction documents.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or related technical field preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD required.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM software preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Industrial, manufacturing, power distribution, or process industry experience is a plus.
