Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Designer/Technician/Engineer to join our Buildings Engineering team in Sandy Springs, GA. You will contribute to electrical power and lighting system design, perform AutoCAD/Revit work, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Under Senior guidance, you will help prepare plans and drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, and deliver high-quality documents. Healthcare or education project exposure is a major plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma/certificate in a related program with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, device layouts, circuiting, panel schedules, load calculations, riser diagrams, and schedules.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed drawings, with the ability to coordinate design elements across disciplines (architectural, civil, structural, ICT, and mechanical).
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards, with strong working knowledge of California Building Codes.
  • Familiarity with CAD and BIM software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of specialty engineering applications such as SKM Power Tools is a plus.
  • Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects.
  • Strong logical reasoning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure concepts into deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support technical consultation with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Professional, credible presence with the ability to earn trust through technical expertise and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment, including extended periods at a computer.
