Job summary

Bechtel in Port Arthur, TX seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead design, development, modification and evaluation of electrical components and processes for a large LNG project.

You will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates, mentor junior engineers, and ensure technical issues are resolved in complex electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional license in an appropriate discipline OR suitable engineering coursework with progressive experience.
• Technical knowledge of related engineering systems and applications of engineering and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical components and processes used in generation, transmission and storage of electricity.
• Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• When delegated, provides guidance to other electrical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects.
• Mentors and assists more junior electrical team members.
• Completes electrical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
