Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support Beaverton, OR team with Revit production for a water/wastewater project and coordination across Portland and Tukwila offices.

You will design electrical systems and produce construction drawings with attention to standards and schedules. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, EIT or ability to obtain within six months, and 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 2–3 years of experience as an electrical designer or equivalent.
• Proficient in Revit Modeling with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong ethics and commitment to quality work within budgets and schedules.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter, team player, able to work under time constraints.
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking on several design projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including main service, distribution, standby power and general power.
• Produce drawings suitable for construction with detailed input from engineers and library references.
• Comply with client-specific and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
• Implement file management procedures to organize and maintain drawing files.
• Communicate effectively with drafting staff and clients.
