Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks an Engineer-in-Training, Electrical Designer to support our Energy team across WA/OR offices. The role focuses on Revit production for a major water/wastewater project, with coordination across Portland and Tukwila offices as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, an EIT or eligibility within six months, and 2–3 years of electrical design experience. Strong CAD skills and client-facing communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• 2–3 years of electrical designer experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in Revit with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Demonstrates strong ethics and delivers quality work within budgets and schedules.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter, team player, able to work under time constraints.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task on several projects.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including main service, distribution, standby power, and general power.
• Create construction drawings with detail based on engineer input and references.
• Adhere to client and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
• Implement file management procedures for electronic drawings.
• Communicate effectively with drafting staff and clients.
