Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT) to support our design teams on diverse facility and infrastructure projects.

The EIT will assist senior designers, learn industry standards, and develop proficiency in load calculations, schematics, and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD. Applicants should have an ABET-accredited engineering degree and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• Knowledge of industry software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist senior design staff in executing technical activities on projects.
• Learn industry standards and company policies for design and analyses.
• Contribute to production of designs using Revit and/or AutoCAD under supervision.
• Support project teams to complete work on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
• Communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment vendors.
