Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer Designer to join the Buildings MEP team in the United States.

The role reports to the Electrical Engineering Team Leader and focuses on designing, analyzing, and delivering electrical systems across complex projects with emphasis on safety, sustainability, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The position requires hands-on design experience, familiarity with LV/MV systems, and proficiency in Revit and related tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years related experience in electrical design.
• Experience with building power systems, medium-voltage distribution, and lighting design.
• Experience with LEED, Green Building Institute, or other sustainability credentialing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and coordination of design documents across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering technical work for complex projects.
• Develop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of electrical systems.
• Design electrical systems including medium-voltage distribution, microgrids, PV, battery systems, and lighting.
• Coordinate engineering assignments and provide technical direction for multiple projects.
• Conduct SKM, arc flash, and photometric calculations (AGI/Elumtools).
• Lead training and mentor other team members.
