Job summary
Woolpert seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings MEP team. This role supports hybrid or remote work across Coral Gables, Miami and Orlando offices, reporting to Electrical Engineering Team Leader.
You will perform electrical engineering design, modeling, and reviews to ensure safety, sustainability and standards compliance on complex projects. The ideal candidate has a PE license, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit, SKM,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 7 years related engineering experience.
- PE license is required.
- Experience with building power systems, lighting, and medium-voltage distribution.
- Proficiency with SKM, AGI or Elumtools for photometric calculations.
- Experience with sustainable design (LEED or Green Building Institute).
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit for 3-D modeling and coordination.
- Strong reading, interpretation of complex documents; excellent communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering work on complex projects.
- Develop models, plans, and detailed drawings for electrical systems.
- Design for medium-voltage, microgrids, PV, battery systems, building power, lighting, and low voltage.
- Review technical deliverables and ensure quality.
- Coordinate with disciplines and provide QA/QC.
