Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems from concept through design completion across diverse facilities, and to update drawings using CAD software. You will work with project managers and compile data for client presentations and contract administration.

The ideal candidate will have ABET-accredited EE training, FE exam, and 3+ years using AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PTW, or EasyPower, with travel up to 25% and potential for telecommuting up to 30 days/year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or foreign equivalent.
• FE exam must be completed.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering acceptable with 3 years of experience in lieu of 5 years of Bachelor’s degree + 5 years.`
• Three years of experience using engineering design software, including AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PTW, or EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings across CAD platforms.
• Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for projects.
• Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
