Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (T02) or Principal Electrical Design Engineer (T03) to support the RQ-4 USAF programs in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will design, test, and document electrical components and systems, collaborating with a multi-discipline team to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, ICDs, BOMs, ATPs, and the ability to read schematics. Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering; one of the basic qualification paths is 2 years of related experience, or 0 years with a Masters, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or other electrical design tools.
• Experience with ICDs and cable assembly build-to-packages (BTPs).
• Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and design documentation.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher with recent background check.

Responsibilities

• Review, track, and modify test station design documents as necessary.
• Generate and track BOMs, schedules, and test station development execution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop and perform Acceptance Test Procedures for test stations.
• Develop interface block diagrams and wiring diagrams for cable assemblies.
