Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA seeks an Aeronautics Engineer – Responsible RE to lead electrical subsystem responsibilities across design, integration, verification and sustainment. On-site work only; travel up to 25%.

You will provide technical oversight to software teams, create architecture artifacts, ICDs and verification reports, and collaborate across systems engineering, test, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with relevant experience.
• Excellent technical communication skills and artifact development.
• Experience with electronic systems development, design or sustainment.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with PAR eligibility.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Responsible Engineer for an electrical subsystem across design, integration, verification, and sustainment.
• Provide technical oversight to software teams including architecture and design.
• Produce architecture diagrams, ICDs, requirements specs, and verification evidence.
• Develop modeling/simulation environments and conduct SIL/HIL verification.
• Lead integration/verification activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
