Osborn Engineering seeks a Department Manager to lead the Michigan Region Electrical Engineering group. With 10+ years in electrical design and consulting, you will guide project teams, manage client expectations, and drive staffing and QA/QC for complex projects.

Reporting to the Director of Electrical Engineering, you’ll collaborate across disciplines, contribute to business development, and mentor staff, while upholding Osborn’s client-focused, innovative design standards.

Qualificações

• 10+ years' experience in electrical design and project management in consulting engineering.
• Familiar with NEC, State Energy Code, NFPA guidelines, and FGI Guidelines.
• Experience with electrical system studies such as short circuit, coordination, and Arc Flash per NFPA 70E.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; PE license preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work with Project Managers to allocate resources for projects.
• Establish discipline-specific work plans and estimates for department staff.
• Oversee production of work product to meet client requirements and Osborn standards.
• Supervise staff to meet department performance metrics and goals.
• Manage client communications and project expectations.
• Execute QA/QC processes for the Electrical discipline on projects.
• Maintain backlogs and staffing forecasts for proper utilization.
• Assist HR on recruitment and training efforts.
• Conduct business development activities and assist with presentations.
