Job summary

Osborn Engineering seeks a Department Manager with 10+ years of mechanical design and consulting experience to lead the Mechanical Engineering group. The role reports to the Director of Mechanical Engineering and requires strong team and client management skills.

You will oversee staff, manage resources, contribute to business development, and ensure QA/QC across projects while collaborating with MEP disciplines and other departments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in consulting engineering.
• Ability to lead multiple project teams and manage workload.
• Knowledge of mechanical design software and building codes.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources with Project Managers to staff projects.
• Oversee department staff and workflows to meet goals.
• Communicate with clients and manage expectations.
• Support recruitment and training efforts.
• Participate in business development activities.
• Ensure QA/QC for mechanical discipline.
