Job summary

Osborn Engineering seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead a seasoned team in Detroit and/or Grand Rapids. You will steer power distribution, lighting, and controls design across healthcare, commercial, and educational projects, while mentoring staff and growing client relationships.

Applicants should have a PE license, 15+ years of electrical design experience, and a strong track record in leading cross-disciplinary teams in a complex project environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• 15+ years of Electrical design experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Broad power, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data design experience for a variety of building and system types.
• Healthcare experience a plus.
• Experience leading design teams and designing multiple types of buildings; both architectural and industrial.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently and manage staff/clients.

This unique opportunity requires a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer interested in helping lead and direct a well-established Electrical team for a long-standing engineering firm. The successful candidate will be technically proficient in leading the design of Power Distribution, Lighting, Controls and Arc Flash Analysis systems for a number of different types of projects including Healthcare, Commercial, Educational, Institutional, and Residential.
