Job summary

Osborn Engineering seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering for Detroit and/or Grand Rapids, MI. Lead and direct a well-established Electrical team for a long-standing engineering firm, partnering with our client base on public and private sector projects.

The candidate will have BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and 15+ years of electrical design experience along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license required (PE).
• 15+ years of electrical design experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Broad experience with power, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data design.
• Healthcare, commercial, educational, institutional, and residential project exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of public and private development projects.
• Recruit and build a strong engineering team.
• Market Electrical engineering capabilities to clients.
• Represent the firm in project and client interviews.
• Review designs as part of Osborn’s QA/QC process.
