Job summary

Echo Electric is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Representative in Mattoon, IL to assist customers during the sales process using ERP software and to help fulfill sales orders with accuracy. The role involves building customer relationships, staying up to date on product knowledge, and supporting warehouse tasks as needed.

Compensation is $20–$23 per hour plus commission. Shift is 7 AM–4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized and work within a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software, while maintain professional sales demeanor.
Ability to track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and placing follow-up calls.
Ability to maintain and develop customer relationships.
Actively stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock request.
Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe and clean environment.
