Job summary

Capital Electric, a distributor of electrical construction materials and part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Counter Sales associate at our Beltsville, MD location. You will sell products, assist customers with selection, and build relationships to remain the distributor of choice.

Responsibilities include handling calls, greeting customers, processing orders, pulling items from warehouse, and promoting promotions.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School or GED.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred, but training is available.
• Good mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with order and product selection.
• Pull customer orders from warehouse to counter.
• Prepare sales tickets and process charges.
• Promote and sell promotions.
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed.
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin targets.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism with customers.
• Multitask and prioritize daily tasks.
