Job summary

Capital Electric, a distributor of electrical construction materials and part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a Counter Sales associate in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will handle incoming customer phone calls, greet walk-in customers, assist with orders and provide appropriate product selection.

You will also pick orders from the warehouse and charge accordingly. The role emphasizes reaching monthly sales and gross margin goals, with benefits including PTO, parental leave, 401(k) retirement

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Sales experience and/or Electrical Knowledge preferred, but will train the right candidate.
• Good and dependable mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer and MS Office literate.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customer with order and provide appropriate product selection.
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly.
• Promote and sell company’s product promotions.
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions.
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
