Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Counter Sales associate at our Frederick, MD location. You will sell electrical products, assist customers with product selection, and build relationships to become the Electrical Distributor of Choice.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling orders, and promoting promotions while supporting warehouse tasks. Competitive hourly pay with commission potential and strong benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; sales/electrical knowledge preferred but training provided.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly.
• Promote and sell promotions.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Aim to reach monthly sales and gross margin targets.
• Maintain courtesy and professionalism with customers.
