Job summary

Capital Electric, a distributor of electrical construction materials and part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a Counter Sales associate at our Frederick, MD location. You will sell product, assist customers with selection, greet walk-ins, and build relationships to keep Capital Electric as the distribution of choice.

Minimum qualifications include High School or GED; sales experience or electrical knowledge preferred; strong math, verbal and written communication; computer literacy with MS

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge; training available.
• Good mathematics, verbal and written communication.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls
• Greet walk-in customers
• Assist customer with order and product selection
• Pick customer order from warehouse and bring to counter
• Prepare customer sales ticket and charge accordingly
• Promote and sell promotions
• Provide assistance to warehouse functions
• Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin
• Courtesy and politeness toward customers
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day
• Other duties as required
