Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, is a leading electrical distributor with strong local roots. We are hiring a Counter Sales Representative to maintain product knowledge, assist customers during the sales process, and support warehouse tasks.

The role requires a High School diploma, ~1 year in the electrical industry, strong communication, and ERP proficiency. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) match, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products.
• Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized and work within a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
• Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
• Completion of EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level or commitment to complete such training within 18 months of starting job assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software, while maintain professional sales demeanor.
• Ability to track and fulfill sales orders by picking orders, creating appropriate documentation, and placing follow-up calls.
• Ability to maintain and develop customer relationships.
• Actively stay up to date on product knowledge and generate product stock request.
• Arrange and organize point of sale displays and shelves to ensure product are visually appealing
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and replenish merchandise
• Ensure all pricing, labels and promotional signage are accurate and visible
• Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe and clean environment.
