Job summary

Capital Electric in Durham, NC is seeking a motivated Counter Sales associate to help customers select products, process orders, and build relations with contractors. You will greet customers, handle calls, and support warehouse activities while aiming to meet monthly sales and margin targets.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred; training provided.
• Electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and charge accordingly.
• Promote and sell promotions.
• Provide assistance to certain warehouse functions.
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin goals.
• Maintain courtesy and politeness toward customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
