Job summary

DSG Supply in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Electrical Counter Sales Associate for a full-time, hourly role. You will assist customers at the City Desk with orders, perform warehouse duties as needed, and support sales with product inquiries.

The position emphasizes customer service, technical knowledge of electrical products, and accurate order processing, within a typical 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday schedule at our Plymouth location.

Qualifications

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in electrical products.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
• Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
• Active listening to determine customer needs.
• Problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
• High proficiency with computers – Eclipse ERP experience preferred.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
• Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
• Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
