Job summary

DSG Supply in Dickinson, ND seeks an Electrical Counter Sales Associate to assist customers at the City Desk, process orders, and support warehouse duties. Typical hours are 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday, with potential variation for business needs.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and accurate order writing, with opportunities to generate quotes, provide technical help, and collaborate with the sales team. Eligible candidates value teamwork and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school OR 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of electrical products.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
• Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
• A knack for active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
• A high proficiency with computers – experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred.
• The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
• Write (and occasionally fill) orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary
• Provide trouble-shooting and technical support
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
• Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
