Job summary

DSG seeks an Electrical Counter Sales Associate in Dickinson, ND. This full-time, hourly position supports customers at the City Desk, processes orders, and assists with warehouse duties. Typical hours are 7 am–4 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional variation for business needs.

The role emphasizes customer service, product inquiries, and accurate order fulfillment, with opportunities to grow within a strong ESOP-driven company.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of college/technical school or 3-5 years field experience in electrical products.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across settings (in-person, phone, email).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Active listening to determine customer needs.
• Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
• High proficiency with computers – Eclipse or ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary facilitator for customer orders made at the City Desk.
• Assist customers with product inquiries in a professional manner.
• Write and, when needed, fill orders accurately and promptly.
• Generate customer quotations and follow up as necessary.
• Provide trouble-shooting and technical support.
• Collaborate with sales team to resolve customer service issues.
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location.
• Monitor product inventory and Cull damaged product.
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area.
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
