Job summary

North Coast, a member of the Sonepar group, is hiring for a Counter Sales role to serve Contractor, Industrial & OEM markets across Oregon. You will handle quotations, order entry, tracking and proactive customer service, while building relationships with vendors and Will Call customers.

The position emphasizes teamwork, product knowledge in electrical fields, and strong communication. On-site work schedule may include extended hours to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Possess a personal and professional vision of success in teamwork.
• Previous sales experience and product knowledge in the electrical field is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated problem solver in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness and desire to improve skill level.
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel/Word.
• Proficiency in Solar Eclipse is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counter Sales for Contractor, Industrial & OEM Market
• Quotations, order entry, tracking and proactive Customer Service
• Counter and other sales/support duties as directed
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key vendors
• Commit to proactive and team approach to sales
• Identify and pursue gross margin and market share growth opportunities
• Promote heavily the DOTP (Deliver on the Promise) CSG's (Customer Service Guarantees) for increased share
• Relationship building with Will Call customers
• Helping warehouse as needed (wire cuts, filling orders, loading delivery truck)
• Other duties as assigned
