Job summary

North Coast, a part of the Sonepar group, is hiring for a Counter Sales role supporting the contractor, industrial and OEM market in Oregon. The team emphasizes proactive customer service, quotations, order entry, and relationship building with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle counter sales for contractor, industrial & OEM market.
• Prepare quotations, enter orders, track, and provide proactive customer service.
• Maintain relationships with key vendors and customers.
• Support warehouse as needed (pick orders, loading).
• Identify opportunities to grow gross margin and market share.

• Counter Sales for Contractor, Industrial & OEM Market
• Quotations, order entry, tracking and proactive Customer Service
• Counter and other sales/support duties as directed
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key vendors
• Commit to proactive and team approach to sales
• Identify and pursue gross margin and market share growth opportunities
• Promote heavily the DOTP (Deliver on the Promise) CSG's (Customer Service Guarantees) for increased share
• Relationship building with Will Call customers
• Helping warehouse as needed (wire cuts, filling orders, loading delivery truck)
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

• Possess a personal and professional vision of success inteamwork
• Previous sales experience and product knowledge in the electrical field is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated problem solver in a team environment
• Positive attitude, willingness and desire to improve skill level
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel/Word
• Proficiency in Solar Eclipse is preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Continuous phone and computer usage
• Standing and Lifting (Up to 50lbs)
• Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
• Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance

Additional Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
