Job summary

Echo Electric in Mattoon, IL is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Representative to support customers through the sales process, promote new products, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner. The role also assists with warehouse tasks as needed.

Compensation is $20-23/hour plus commission, with a 7 AM–4 PM, Monday–Friday shift. You’ll help with order tracking, documentation, and maintaining strong customer relationships while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year minimum experience in electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products.
• Able to communicate effectively and work in a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate warehouse.
• Basic problem-solving and computer skills.
• EDGE and EPEC Bronze Level completion or commitment within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during the sales process using ERP software and maintain a professional sales demeanor.
• Track and fulfill sales orders by picking, documenting, and following up.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and stock requests.
• Create and maintain positive working relationships and a safe, clean environment.
