Job summary
Amazon is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of electrical power distribution and control systems for material handling projects at One MHS. The role emphasizes safety, scalability, and operational excellence across cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical power system design, controls engineering, and automation platforms, with NEC code compliance experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical and controls design for industrial or material handling systems.
- Deep understanding of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET protocols.
- Proficiency with IPCs, PLC programming, and SCADA system design.
- Experience with sensor technologies, encoders, and safety devices including E-stops and safety PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Design power and controls systems for material handling projects, including 3-phase and single-phase distribution.
- Develop electrical layouts, schematics, control architectures, and panel standardization.
- Design modular, scalable power distribution prioritizing reliability and maintainability.
- Implement industrial networks using EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET.
- Support in-field audits, NEC compliance, and project documentation.
