Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead small electrical construction projects or parts of larger ones. The role requires strong PM skills, leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with customers, engineers, and contractors.

A Top-Secret clearance is required, along with U.S. citizenship for access to classified information. Responsibilities include preparing project documentation, CPM scheduling, kickoff meetings, forecasting resources, and maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics with 7+ years experience or
• 5+ years with a MS degree.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the project Superintendent in preparation of project documentation and field office support.
• Developing a resource loaded CPM schedule with time scale logic in Primavera scheduling software.
• Coordinating and running a project kick-off meeting (PKOM).
• Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
• Reading and interpreting blue prints and project specifications.
• Developing budget and cost codes for projects and tracking costs and manpower.
• Preparing estimates for designed projects and completing submittals and change orders.
• Meeting with potential customers to present proposals.
• Ensuring safety regulations and inspections are handled correctly.
• Managing overall financials and keeping profitability at or above budget.
