Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in electrical, cybersecurity, and smart systems integration, seeks a Deputy Project Manager to supervise project teams and develop plans and budgets on complex facilities projects.

You’ll analyze data, manage change orders, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to ensure on-time completion. The role demands a BS in Engineering with 5+ years in construction, CPM scheduling, and strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specs, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Proficiency with CPM Scheduling and design techniques for blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Prepare estimates for partially designed projects and complete estimates.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
• Communicate with external stakeholders and ensure timely decision-making and RFIs.
