Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Tysons, VA to oversee small to mid-size electrical construction projects from inception to closeout.

The role includes leading project teams, coordinating schedules, budgets, and scope with customers and subcontractors, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong PM background in electrical, security, AV, or power systems, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: BS with 7+ years or MS with 5+ years.
• Experience supervising PMs on construction projects.
• Proven track record managing multi-discipline projects (Fire Alarm, Security, AV, Power).

Responsibilities

• Assist the project Superintendent with documentation, layout, and field office support.
• Develop a resource-loaded CPM schedule with time scale logic in Primavera scheduling software.
• Coordinate and run a project kickoff meeting (PKOM).
• Forecast cash flow and manpower needs for projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Develop budget and cost codes for a project and assign costs and manpower to the schedule for foreman level tracking.
• Prepare estimates for designed projects and finalize the design and submittals.
