Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide high-level coordination for the National Technical Systems Group. The role partners with construction project management and field staff to manage documentation, schedules, budgets, and communications.

You will assist PM/PX with subcontractor documentation, change orders, RFIs, and ensuring timeliness of billings and payments, while supporting site workflows and payroll coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist in managing all aspects of project documentation (submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes).
• Assist with supervising and directing project activities and resolving issues per PM directives.
• Maintain change order, submittal and document control logs (Viewpoint).
• Support PM/PX and subcontractors to ensure correct documents and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish project files under PM/PX guidance.
• Provide temporary total project supervision in PM’s absence.
• Read and understand electrical drawings and specs at a basic level.
• Assist in establishing workflows with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Support accurate and timely project billings per contract documents.
• Help draft and submit quality RFIs and assist PM to ensure timely payments to subs and vendors.
• Review construction schedules status as requested by PM/PX.
• Assist in setting up project budgets in Viewpoint with Field Supervisors.
• Coordinate with Payroll to ensure payroll information is submitted.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
