Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a technically skilled professional in Northbrook, IL to support product testing and certification projects. You will conduct evaluations, coordinate lab testing, and guide customers through the certification process.

The role involves client interaction, timeline management, and preparing reports. Fresh graduates are welcome; travel may be required to client sites. Training is provided and sponsorship is not needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or chemical engineering.
• Open to fresh graduates and candidates with experience.
• Approximately 0–2+ years of experience.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Training will be provided.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and plan investigations based on client input and data.
• Travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests when needed.
• Explain UL procedures and requirements to clients and negotiate timelines.
• Coordinate laboratory activities and oversee technicians and schedules.
• Review files and manufacturer information to set test programs.
• Prepare data sheets, reports, and status updates for clients.
• Ensure compliance with UL standards and identify nonconformities.
• Support development of UL requirements and test methods.
