Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician for our Industrial Controls Laboratory in Northbrook, IL. The role involves setting up and performing electrical and mechanical testing on products, interpreting schematics and data, and communicating results to engineers.

You will build test setups, adjust equipment, and ensure accuracy of data. The position emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and hands-on testing in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Military Equivalent (Electronics Technician).
• Strong electrical/electronics knowledge.
• Experience working with the above products.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven ability to be innovative and creative.

Responsibilities

• Examine test samples and read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to setup and perform a variety of electrical testing.
• Analyze test performance and review test data with supervisor.
• Build test setups and adjust equipment to perform testing.
• Use knowledge of circuits to achieve required voltage, amperage, and power factor.
• Operate machines and maintain laboratory equipment and area.
• Record data and prepare reports; plan tests and interpret results.
