Job summary

Capital Electric in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Branch Manager to lead every aspect of the branch’s sales, administration and operations, including budgeting, inventory control, profit maximization and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will develop and implement market growth opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with contractors and suppliers in the region.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree with emphasis on business.
• Minimum 4 years of industry experience in electrical distribution.
• Experience using Eclipse ERP preferred.
• 2-3 years supervisory or training experience.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs., occasionally more.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations.
• Grow market share through account management and customer relations techniques.
• Provide leadership to projects and sales staff to grow customer base and margins.
• Carry out responsibilities related to branch business administration and management.
• Manage the overall logistical operation of the cross dock for accurate material flow.
• Manage branch inventories through purchasing, shipping, receiving, tracking, warehousing and re-ordering.
• Commit to a safe working environment and report hazards.
• Add value by promoting improved job performance of associates.
• Train associates for specific functions and assign responsibilities to ensure profitability.
