Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring a Branch Manager for our Alexandria, VA location. The role leads sales, administration and operations, driving budgeting, inventory control, profit maximization and customer satisfaction while implementing market growth opportunities.

You will lead projects and sales staff, manage cross-dock logistics, and ensure safety and efficiency. This full-time position requires strong leadership, industry knowledge and a passion for customer service.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree with an emphasis on business or related training.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical products and distribution industry with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience working in the Eclipse ERP is preferred
• 2-3 years supervisory/training experience
• Proven leadership and organization skills
• Able to problem solve
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customer needs and expectations with urgency.
• Grow market share through selling skills, account management and customer relations.
• Provide leadership to projects and sales staff to increase sales and margins.
• Manage branch administration, operations, and daily activities.
• Oversee cross-dock logistics, inventory, purchasing, shipping, and warehousing.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and report hazards.
• Train associates for specific functions and delegate responsibilities.
• Set priorities and drive proactive performance improvement.
• Share local market insights and adapt to opportunities with flexibility and risk-taking.
• Support teamwork and cross-department collaboration through effective communication.
