Capital Electric in Fairfax, VA seeks a Branch Manager to oversee sales, administration, and operations, driving budgeting, inventory control, profit maximization, and customer satisfaction. The role leads market growth initiatives and ensures efficient branch performance.

The candidate will manage cross-dock operations, inventories, and daily workflows while promoting safety and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree with emphasis on business and/or relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of electrical products and distribution with 4+ years in the industry
• Experience using Eclipse ERP preferred
• 2-3 years supervisory/training experience

Responsibilities

• Anticipate, meet, and exceed customer needs and commitments
• Grow market share using selling skills and account management
• Provide leadership to projects and sales staff to grow customer base and margins
• Manage branch administration and daily operations
• Oversee cross dock logistics and material flow
• Control branch inventories through purchasing, shipping, receiving, warehousing and re-ordering
• Promote safety and report hazards promptly
• Train associates for specific roles and responsibilities
• Set priorities and motivate coworkers to improve performance
• Provide local market insights and drive strategic opportunities
• Foster a high-energy, entrepreneurial culture and teamwork
• Collaborate across regions and departments to support organizational goals
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure productive outcomes
