Job summary

Basaran Grinder Corporation is seeking an electrical design engineer to design standard power, control, safety, sensor, motor, drive, and field-wiring circuits, and to produce buildable documentation for our precision machines.

This on-site role in Hauppauge, New York requires hands-on PLC and HMI programming, familiarity with three-phase power, VFDs, sensors, and the ability to resolve routine automation problems with limited supervision, while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers.

Qualifications

Design and release industrial electrical circuits.
Knowledge of three-phase power, 24 VDC controls, motors, VFDs, sensors, and machine safety.
Experience with electrical CAD and industrial bills of materials.
Basic PLC and HMI programming or commissioning experience.
Hands-on troubleshooting with meters, schematics, and diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

Design standard power, control, safety, sensor, motor, drive, and field-wiring circuits.
Develop panel layouts, BOMs, cable schedules, I/O assignments, and installation documentation.
Program or modify routine PLC logic, HMI functions, alarms, and machine sequences.
Support panel checkout, machine wiring, drive setup, I/O verification, and startup.
Resolve documentation, wiring, sensor, communication, and component-selection issues with manufacturing and suppliers.
